Celtic striker Moussa Dembele says he has no regrets over choosing to quit Paris Saint-Germain for Fulham at the age of 16 and pointed out that few of his generation at the Parc des Princes are playing on a regular basis for the club.

Dembele joined PSG's youth ranks in 2004 and remained at the capital club until 2012, at which point he opted for a switch to London with Fulham.

He slotted into Fulham's academy side and was quickly rewarded with a professional contract the following year.

Dembele made his Fulham debut the same year, 2013, sampling the Premier League when being brought off the bench against West Ham United.

The striker stayed with Fulham after their relegation to the Championship and featured on a regular basis for the Cottagers last term, scoring 17 goals in all competitions, before leaving in the summer for Scottish giants Celtic, following the expiration of his contract.

PSG have established themselves as one of Europe's biggest clubs since Dembele's departure, but the Frenchman insists he has no regrets over his decision to quit for a move to England.

"Apart from [Adrien] Rabiot and now [Presnel] Kimpembe, who starts to play, which players play?" he told L'Equipe, when asked if he regrets leaving PSG given youngsters have progressed into the team.

"I have no regrets.

"Three years ago, I was already playing in the Premier League.

"I saw that the new coach [Unai Emery] is integrating youth. Playing in pre-season matches, that's good, but being integrated in league games, that's different.

"I do not see a player of my generation playing regularly. I reached 100 professional games quickly. I have no regrets."

Dembele however admits he does keep a close watch on his former club and would have liked for Celtic to have been paired with them in the Champions League this season.

"That does not prevent me from following what they do.

"I would have liked PSG in the Champions League draw.

"Maybe that will come later, but for now, there is work to do."
