Celtic defender Kieran Tierney feels his side’s hunt for the treble is on after they progressed to the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup by beating Alloa Athletic 2-0 on Wednesday night.

The Bhoys, who won the quarter-final meeting, courtesy of late goals from James Forrest and Moussa Dembele, are currently three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a game in hand.

Celtic have also managed to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League for the first time in two years, but their return to the continental competition was marred by a 7-0 loss to Barcelona.

The Hoops, who are aiming for their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title, are yet to start their Scottish Cup adventure.

And Tierney feels his side are in with a great chance to win the treble in the present campaign, with the starlet going on to add that he wishes to keep his place in the squad by putting in impressive displays.

“We are through to the Champions League, we’re still in all cups, so I would say the treble is still on”, he told Celtic TV.

“And if I can keep performing and keep my place, I would be very happy.”

Tierney has provided five assists in 13 appearances in all competitions for Celtic, who will next play Kilmarnock on Saturday, this season.
