Chelsea Under-23 left-back Jay Dasilva has insisted that his side need to win their next match against Leicester City in October at any cost.

Adi Viveash’s team were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in a Premier League 2 fixture on Friday as the young Blues slumped to their third defeat in a row in all competitions.

The Gunners took a 24th minute lead at Stamford Bridge through Reiss Nelson before substitute Charlie Wakefield equalised for the hosts in the 66th minute.

But Stephy Mavididi’s goal eight minutes from time helped Arsenal to win the mini London derby and return home with the full three points.

And Dasilva, whose side headed into the game on the back of consecutive losses against Swindon Town and Reading in the EFL Trophy and the league respectively, underlined the importance of Chelsea beating Leicester City in their next game.
