Former Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn wants the Yorkshire giants go into each game believing that they can win.

The 1-0 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday was Leeds’ fourth win on the bounce, their best run since the 2009/10 season when they won five on the trot, which included an FA Cup upset win at Manchester United.

After a lethargic start to the season, Garry Monk’s men have been motoring along over the last couple of weeks on the back of Chris Wood’s goals and a solid defence marshalled by new signings Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley.

Redfearn feels Leeds should feel confident about making it five in a row when they travel to Bristol City on Tuesday night, and wants them to believe that they can beat anybody in the Championship.

The former Leeds boss told TV Yorkshire, when asked if the Whites will be feeling supremely confident: “Well they have got to do.

“They are having some great results, Leeds, they are playing well and [Saturday] was a Utopia, they won and they played well.

“It will be a tough game for Bristol City, and Leeds have got to go into these games now, knowing on the day they can beat anybody in this division.”

Leeds won at home against Bristol City last season, but only earned a point at Ashton Gate.
