Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton thinks that Partick Thistle will believe they have a chance against Rangers next weekend at Ibrox, due to the Gers' poor form.

Rangers have not won in their last four Scottish Premiership games, a run which includes two defeats, to Celtic and Aberdeen respectively.

Sutton has been hugely critical of Rangers manager Mark Warburton and feels that even though Partick Thistle are bottom of the Premiership table, they will head to Ibrox with confidence over getting a result.

And Sutton says Rangers need to step up on their performance level.

The former Celtic striker, who regularly works as a pundit on Scottish football for BT Sport, wrote on Twitter: "Partick will feel they have a chance.

Partick Thistle have taken five points from their opening six Premiership games so far to sit at the bottom of the 12-team league.

They have won just a single game this term, at home against Inverness in their league season opener, but have also held Kilmarnock and Motherwell to draws.
