Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson admits he is crossing his fingers and hoping the injury he sustained against Bristol City this evening is not serious.

Jansson has been in fine form for Leeds since joining on loan from Torino and his good performances have been a big contributor towards the Whites' winning run.

The run ended tonight as Bristol City edged out the Whites 1-0 and Jansson was forced off at the break, being replaced by Liam Cooper.

Leeds boss Garry Monk confirmed after the match that Jansson had tweaked his hamstring and says his withdrawal was a precaution.

And the Swedish defender is hoping the injury is nothing serious.

"Don't know so much right now", Jansson wrote on Twitter.

"Hope it's OK", he added.

Leeds are next in action this coming Saturday when Barnsley visit Elland Road to lock horns with Monk's men.

Jansson will be hoping to shrug off his hamstring niggle to put himself in contention to feature in the Championship fixture.
