AIK sporting director Bjorn Wesstrom has no doubt that when in-demand talent Alexander Isak leaves the club then the transfer fee will be one of the club's largest ever and one of Sweden's largest ever.

The 17-year-old is turning on the style with the Swedish giants and his development has not gone unnoticed, with Isak being linked with Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Isak, who has in some quarters been dubbed the 'new Zlatan Ibrahimovic', signed a new contract with AIK in May to keep him at the club for a further two years.

If the striker continues to develop at his current rate it is doubtful he will see out the deal, but AIK will at least have the consolation of cash from any transfer and Wesstrom thinks they could be looking at a substantial windfall.

"Absolutely", he told Sydsvenskan when asked if a deal for Isak could be one of the biggest in the club's history and that of the entire Swedish top flight.

"Then there is the question of what level you would be looking at.

"But all that you get to decide when it becomes something tangible", Wesstrom added.

This term the 17-year-old has bagged seven goals in all competitions, helping AIK to sit a lofty third in the Allsvenskan with just six games remaining.

In total, Isak has turned out for AIK's first team on 23 occasions, scoring eight goals in the process.

The striker could well be the subject of a fierce transfer battle between Europe's elite clubs in the January transfer window.
