Chelsea talent Tammy Abraham, who has been tearing apart Championship defences during a loan spell with Bristol City, has revealed that he asked John Terry for advice on how to make defenders' lives a misery on the pitch.

Abraham has been in superb form for the Robins, hitting an astonishing ten goals in just 13 appearances so far for the Ashton Gate outfit – and Terry takes some of the credit.

The Chelsea striker will be hoping to add to his goal tally at the weekend when Bristol City lock horns with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Forest are the only side apart from Chelsea that Terry turned out for, with the defender enjoying a loan spell with the club which saw him make six appearances in the 1999/00 campaign.

And Abraham has revealed that Terry has given him the low-down on how to cause trouble for defenders, as well as Championship life.

"He was telling me what to expect, what defenders will do on and off the ball", Abraham was quoted as saying by the Nottingham Post.

"He congratulated me after my debut.

"I asked him about his loan at Forest. He's told me to get that experience and enjoy it."

Abraham will no doubt be catching Chelsea manager Antonio Conte's eye with his feats in England's second tier, which is known as a tough and physical league.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old received his first call-up for the England Under-21s earlier this week.
