Kyle Walker has lauded the vociferous atmosphere at White Hart Lane during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Spurs headed into the top-of-the-table clash on the back of a four-game winning run in all competitions, while the Citizens were yet to drop a point in the league.

However, a ninth minute own goal by Aleksandar Kolarov, followed by a strike from Dele Alli 28 minutes later handed Manchester City their first loss of the season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s team keeping their unbeaten run in the Premier League intact.

And Walker, whose side are now just one point adrift of the league leaders Manchester City, praised the noisy support at White Hart Lane during the game.

“Brilliant afternoon at The Lane, the noise was something else!” he tweeted, along with a photograph of him celebrating.
