Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has revealed that he shares a close friendship with Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

Griezmann, a star at Atletico Madrid, shares a close bond with the Manchester United midfield man, and the pair have often been seen joking together while on international duty.




The Atletico Madrid forward admits that the European Championship in the summer played a key role in developing his friendship with Pogba, and the Manchester United star also helped him to work harder on his game.

Griezmann also revealed that he has been keenly following Pogba’s career in club football, and he checks in from time to time to keep a close watch on his performances at Manchester United.
 


On his friendship with Pogba, the Frenchman told French sports daily L’Equipe: “We get on very well.

“It is true the European Championship brought us closer, and Paul is really a nice guy.

“Yes, we send messages, Snapchats; he’s a really good friend. He has worked with me on my game, and he also makes me laugh.

“When he plays with his club, I try to take a look whether he had a good game.”

Griezmann and Pogba have again reported for duty with the national team ahead of France’s World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria this Friday.

France will also take on the Netherlands next Monday before their stars return to their respective clubs.
