Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne’s rehab is going to plan as the attacking midfielder is in line to face Barcelona in the Champions League on 19th October, it has been claimed.

The Belgian international has been out of action since picking up a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win over Swansea City on 24th September.

De Bruyne was initially expected to be sidelined for four weeks and it was believed that he would return to action against Barcelona.

But it was reported in some corners that the 25-year-old would not recover from his injury in time to face the Catalan giants.

However, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, De Bruyne’s recovery is going well as he is expected to play against Barcelona; the Belgian could even make his return against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
