Arana was promoted to Corinthians' first team squad at the age of just 16 in 2014 by Mano Menezes.

He initially found it tough to secure playing time though and was sent out on loan to Atletico Paranaense in 2015.

The defender's loan stint was a short one however, with just three appearances before returning to Corinthians.
