Celtic captain Scott Brown feels Rangers have a more solid and steady team from the one which suffered a humiliating 5-1 loss at Parkhead earlier in the season.

All the talk of Rangers challenging Celtic’s dominance of Scottish football quickly evaporated following their humiliation at the hands of Brendan Rodgers’ men last month.

Rangers have lost just once in their last five games in all competitions and have won their last two games following a run of four league games without a win, which included the 5-1 defeat to Celtic.

Brown admits that Gers have improved since that fateful day at Parkhead and have been a more solid outfit, but the Celtic captain is confident that his team have enough about them to beat Rangers again, although admitting that it should be a lot harder this time around.

The Celtic midfielder said in a press conference: “They’ve improved.

"[They are a] bit more solid and have a more steady team.

"It’s going to be a lot harder game but we’ve got that pace and quality and have been scoring goals.

"It'll be much closer against Rangers on Sunday than last time. People think it'll be three or four-nil, but it won't."

Rangers will be hoping to recreate the heroics of last season’s Scottish Cup semi-final when they beat Celtic on penalties at Hampden.
