Antonio Conte has stressed that Jose Mourinho will always remain an integral part of the Chelsea story and deserves a good reception on Sunday.

Mourinho, who was sacked by Chelsea in December, will be returning to his old hunting ground this weekend with his Manchester United team and plotting his former employer’s loss.

The Portuguese won three league titles with Chelsea during his two stints at Stamford Bridge, but his time at the club came to a bitter end following a torrid run of form last season.

However, Conte insisted that despite the sad end, Mourinho remains an influential figure in Chelsea’s history and played a big role in turning them into one of England’s top sides during his time as manager.

And he is confident that the Portuguese will get a good reception on Sunday as the fans still adore him for what he did for Chelsea.
