Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho is expected to leave the Reds in January, but won’t be joining Lille during the winter transfer window.

The French defender fell out with Jurgen Klopp during the summer when he was sent back from their pre-season tour of the United States due to disciplinary issues.

Sakho is yet to play a minute of football this season and his relationship with Klopp went further downhill earlier in the season when he contradicted the German manager on social media.

The German is expected to push for a permanent transfer for Sakho rather than a loan deal and Ligue 1 outfit Lille are reportedly interested in the Frenchman in January.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Sakho is more or less certain to leave Anfield during the winter transfer window, but won’t be joining Lille as some speculation suggests.
