Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that both Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld have made good progress in their bid to recover from their respective injuries and could be back by Wednesday.

Striker Kane picked up an ankle injury against Sunderland on 18th September and has since missed 13 games for the team, though the player is back in training, something Pochettino recently confirmed.

Belgian defender Alderweireld on the other hand has been out since 15th October after picking up a leg injury which forced him to leave the pitch on a stretcher in the 60th minute of the match against West Brom at the Hawthorns.

The Tottenham manager though has now revealed that both players are now nearing match fitness and might be available either for their Champions League Group E clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday or next weekend's crucial Premier League fixture against Arsenal.

“They are making good progress in their recovery but they are still out”, the manager told reporters after today's training session.
