Celtic legend David Hay feels that the Hoops are looking invincible domestically, following their great start to the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup this season.

The Bhoys, who are aiming for their sixth consecutive league title, currently find themselves seven points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a game in hand.

Brendan Rodgers’ team also managed to reach the final of the Scottish League Cup, where they will face Aberdeen next month, by beating Rangers 1-0 in the semi-finals at Hampden last weekend.

And Hay, whose former side are yet to lose a domestic game in the present campaign, thinks Celtic will be an all-conquering team in Scotland this season.

“I think all is going well domestically, they made the first final”, he told Celtic TV.

“It was a fantastic result against Rangers on Sunday. They almost look invincible domestically.

“Aberdeen will be a big test for Celtic on Saturday, but you can almost see that the league will be theirs, you still have to do the work, it’s early days.

“The way Brendan has got the team shaping up, they don’t seem to have too many poor games.”

Celtic, who thrashed Ross County 4-0 in the league on Wednesday night to consolidate their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, have however, struggled on the European front, having picked up just one point from their first three Champions League group stage games.
