France coach Didier Deschamps feels that Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho may have to move clubs during the winter transfer window.

Sakho has not played a first team game for Liverpool this season after falling out of favour with manager Jurgen Klopp and he was linked with leaving Anfield in the summer window.

Despite having offers, Sakho turned down moves elsewhere in the hope of forcing his way back into the first team picture – but his efforts have so far met without success.

Sakho has been linked with West Ham and Leicester of late and Deschamps, who has not selected the defender in the latest France squad, thinks that the former Paris Saint-Germain star may have to move.

He said on TF1's Telefoot programme: "I do not think he is completely happy.

"It could be a solution for him to find another club in the winter break."

And Deschamps conceded that Sakho finds himself in a "very complicated situation".

The centre-back was sent home early from Liverpool's pre-season tour of the United States after angering Klopp with his behaviour and looks to be up against it in a bid to save his Anfield career.
