Leeds United goalkeeper Rob Green has revealed that he feels Alex Mowatt is the most skillful player amongst his team-mates at Elland Road.

A product of the Leeds academy, many feel the midfielder’s growth has stunted in recent months and he has not been a regular starter in Garry Monk’s first eleven this term.

The former England Under-20 international broke into the first team a couple of seasons ago and was an integral part of Steve Evans’ squad last season as they finished 13th in the league table.

In a resurgent Leeds side this term Mowatt has struggled to make an impact, but it seems the midfielder is still held in high regard amongst his team-mates as Green feels he is the most skillful player at Elland Road.

Asked to identify the most skillful player at Leeds, Green told LUTV: “Most probably Alex Mowatt.”

Mowatt has made eleven league appearances for Leeds this season, but only four of them came from the starting eleven.

The 21-year-old midfielder will be hoping to play a bigger role as Leeds head into a busy period of the season when games will come thick and fast.

His contract at the club expires next summer.
