Tottenham Hotspur defender-cum-midfielder Eric Dier has told Manchester United's Ander Herrera he will "see him soon" after he accused the Spaniard of elbowing him on Tuesday evening.

Dier was turning out for England against Spain at Wembley and feels Herrera deliberately elbowed him during the closing stages of the 2-2 draw.

The Spurs star was incensed and told Herrera his actions were "ridiculous". However, the England midfielder does not want an apology and insisted he will see the Spaniard soon, when Spurs lock horns with Manchester United in the Premier League on 11th December.

"I think it's pretty obvious. I don't care if someone kicks me or something like that but I've made a pass and it was a long time afterwards", Dier was quoted as saying by beIN Sports.

"He's elbowed me in the face and I just can't see why. It's ridiculous", the Spurs man continued.

"He's saying he didn't do it but if you watch it I think it's pretty clear what he did. I can feel it on my cheek now so I know what he did.

"I don't like that kind of stuff. I don't mind people kicking each other at times and stuff but that's just dirty and not needed.

"He doesn't need to apologise, I'll see him soon.

"It's football, these things happen. I don't know why he did it, that's why I was angry. It was strange and it's not nice", he added.

Dier played the full 90 minutes of the friendly fixture at Wembley as Gareth Southgate's men let slip a two-goal lead, built up through goals from Adam Lallana (penalty) and Jamie Vardy.

Spain struck through former Liverpool striker Iago Aspas and Real Madrid schemer Isco to make sure they would not leave England on the end of a defeat.
