Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong is keen to use the raucous atmosphere inside Paradise tonight to his side’s advantage against Barcelona.

The Scottish champions are yet to register a win in the Champions League group stage this season, but their most notable performance did come at Paradise when they secured a 3-3 draw against Manchester City.

With Barcelona taking to the pitch at the iconic stadium, Celtic are aware that they need something from the game at home to keep their campaign in Europe alive.

And with the Celtic supporters known for their ability to create an intimidating atmosphere inside the stadium, Armstrong is keen to see the Bhoys make use of that against the Catalan giants.

The Celtic midfielder told the club’s official channel: “We had a great few, very big home games, the games that we won against Rangers and the big one against Manchester City, probably should have got more out of that game.

“Of course in the previous years we had some great results as well.

“The atmosphere and the pressure on the opposition teams coming into such an atmosphere [is great], if we can use that then it will be better.”

Barcelona did suffer a defeat the last time they faced Celtic in the Champions League at Paradise in 2013 and the Scottish champions are keen to replicate that shock result.
