Sporting Lisbon talent Gelson Martins has dealt Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona a blow by insisting he is focusing on seeing out his five-year contract with the Portuguese giants.

The winger has attracted attention due to his performances for Sporting Lisbon and it had been thought the club could struggle to keep hold of the 21-year-old.




He has been linked with several of the biggest clubs in the game, but Martins is focused on continuing his development with Sporting Lisbon and seeing out a contract which runs until the summer of 2021.

Asked about on Sport TV about possible interest from Real Madrid, Martins replied: "I have five years [on my contract] and I want to meet them."
 


He clocked up all 90 minutes of Sporting Lisbon's 2-1 home Champions League defeat against Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

So far this season Martins has made a total of 16 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese giants, scoring twice and providing his team-mates with seven assists.

Sporting Lisbon currently sit in third spot in the Portuguese top flight, five points behind league leaders Benfica.
