Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes the Premier League is attracting the next generation of talent, with the Argentine not concerned that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo ply their trade in La Liga as he feels the next big things will be in England.

Premier League clubs are amongst the richest in the world, but a number of players considered to be the best on the planet – Messi, Ronaldo, Luis Suarez – instead turn out in Spain for Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Pochettino was asked if the Premier League is missing a Ronaldo or Messi, but the Argentine insists that up and coming talent is flocking to England, something which means the next big things will play in the country.

"These type of players do not come along every day", the Argentine told Marca, when asked about the Premier League lacking a Ronaldo or Messi.

"Real Madrid and Barcelona already have them and nobody is going to get them", he continued.

"Of course, with the economic power that the clubs have, the next Messi or Ronaldo will play in England.

"The talent will come to England soon. In fact, it is already coming."

It remains to be seen whether Pochettino at Spurs will have a hand in developing the next Messi or Ronaldo and then, crucially, keep hold of them at White Hart Lane.
