Chelsea Under-23 boss Adi Viveash has praised his side’s character after they came from behind yet again to beat Feyenoord 2-1 in a Premier League International Cup fixture on Tuesday.

Prior to the game at Aldershot against Feyenoord, the young Blues’ last two outings saw them beat Southampton 3-2 before drawing 2-2 with Manchester City last weekend; Chelsea trailed in both those Premier League 2 matches before fighting back.

It was a similar case against Feyenoord as the Dutch outfit broke the deadlock in the 12th minute through Basacikoglu, but late goals from Dujon Sterling and Fikayo Tomori won the game for the hosts.

And Viveash, who lauded the character his side have shown in recent games, was also pleased with Chelsea scoring seven times in their last three outings in all competitions as they have struggled in front of goal this season.

“The character these boys have shown over the last three games, been behind in all the three, starting against Southampton, have been fantastic”, he told Chelsea TV.

“The desire, the work-rate, the sticking together.

"It’s actually very pleasing that we have scored seven goals in those three games.

“That’s important, because in other games we have obviously found it difficult very difficult to score.”

Chelsea will next face Manchester United in a Premier League 2 game on 9th December.
