Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen has insisted that his side want to go on another winning run, following their 5-0 rout of Swansea City on Saturday.

Spurs saw their unbeaten record in the Premier League this season brought to an end by leaders Chelsea earlier in the month, but Mauricio Pochettino’s team returned to winning ways in the league with an emphatic performance against the Swans at White Hart Lane.

And Eriksen, who explained that Tottenham are keen to build on their victory over Swansea City and start another winning run, is hopeful about his side doing well in December after a positive start to the month.

“There always has been that feeling”, he told Spurs TV, when asked on his side’s desire to go on another winning run.

“After a win you always get more confident, you want to go for it and keep going.

“Now we’ve kicked off with a good start to December and hopefully it will be a good month.”

Tottenham, who have no chance of reaching the Round of 16 of the Champions League, need a good result against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday to continue their European adventure this season, via the Europa League.

As a result, Eriksen stated that Spurs want to conclude their Champions League campaign with a win and give something back to the fans.

“We haven’t won yet at Wembley, we want to finish with a win and give something back to the fans – and take something for us as well by getting those three points”, he added.
