Mark Warburton insists that Rangers must keep the focus on themselves as they prepare to welcome Hearts to Ibrox this coming Saturday.

The Gers are currently second in the table and recovered from losing 2-0 away at Hearts last week by beating Aberdeen 2-1 at Ibrox at the weekend.

Warburton was unhappy with his side's loss to the Jambos at Tynecastle and Hearts were praised for pressuring Rangers and dominating the match, with the Gers unable to get a foot hold.

But rather than studying Hearts' ways, Warburton is determined that Rangers must focus on themselves and on playing their style of football to a higher standard than was the case at Tynecastle.

He told his club's official site: "Our job is to focus on Rangers and do what we do better, learn from last week, learn from Saturday as well and deliver a performance is what is a very important fixture.

"We are at home off the back of a good performance, we are second in the league and we want to reinforce that and send the crowd home happy again.

"We do that by being positive, getting on the football and doing everything we did on Saturday and hopefully adding some more quality balls in there as well", Warburton added.

Rangers boast a two-point advantage over third placed Aberdeen and fourth placed Hearts in the Premiership; Aberdeen have a game in hand on the Gers.

Warburton is bidding to finish at least second with Rangers this term.
