Rangers manager Mark Warburton does not expect new Hearts boss Ian Cathro to change too much in terms of the way the Jambos will set up against his side this coming weekend.

Warburton's men lost last week at Tynecastle against Hearts, going down 2-0 and being well beaten by the Jambos, who at that time were under Robbie Nielson.

Neilson has since left to take over at English League One side MK Dons, with Cathro leaving his post on the coaching staff at Newcastle United to succeed him.

Warburton, who is preparing for his side to welcome Hearts to Ibrox for a key Scottish Premiership game, believes that given the short period Cathro will have been in charge, he will not try to make too many changes.

And so the Englishman expects to face much the same type of challenge as his side were confronted with last week.

"You have to think that they will play a very similar game, they were quite rightly successful at Tynecastle, what we have to do is find solutions", Warburton told his club's official site.

"I don’t know much about Ian Cathro, I know he is highly thought of but no more than that.

"If you are there for a week, I imagine if I was Ian I would do very much the same as the previous week when they have won the game 2-0 at Tynecastle, you’d want to try and repeat that", the Rangers boss added.

While Rangers lost at Hearts, they bounced back by edging out Aberdeen 2-1 at Ibrox at the weekend and will go into the clash against the Jambos high on confidence and itching for revenge.
