Garry Monk wants his Leeds United players to learn from their defeat on Friday night against Brighton and put it to good use in their next two games at Elland Road.

Leeds’ good run of form came to an end with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton at the Amex, but the Whites still remain amongst the playoff spots, despite the loss.

The Yorkshire giants have back-to-back home games next, starting with Reading on Tuesday night and Monk admits that his players will learn from their bad experience against Brighton.

He feels it is important that his team quickly recover from the defeat and put the lessons learned at the Amex to good use at Elland Road in the next two games against the Royals and Brentford respectively.

The Whites boss told BBC Radio Leeds: “I always try to make the players learn from their experiences and what we need to do better and if we face the same situation how we can be better.

“But of course we have to turn it around very quickly and like I said use the feeling of disappointment and frustration and make sure it comes out in our performance on Tuesday.

“And in the following game against Brentford.”

Following their next two home games, Leeds will take away trips to Preston North End and Aston Villa respectively to close out 2016.
