Chelsea winger Willian has revealed that Oscar has already bid farewell to his team-mates at Stamford Bridge as he prepares to depart for China in a big-money move.

Oscar is set to join Shanghai SIPG for a fee of around £52m, signing a contract which will reportedly make him the highest paid player in world football, on £400,000 per week.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has admitted to disappointment at Oscar's exit and Willian revealed that his international team-mate has already said goodbye to his friends at Stamford Bridge.

Willian told ESPN Brasil: "He has already said goodbye.

"A great friend is leaving, but we wish the best for him and his family as well", he continued.

"A player's career can be quick, so when such an opportunity comes you think about your family.

"You want to be prepared for when you have to stop playing", Willian added.

Oscar is still just 25 years old, meaning he is heading to play his football in China as he approaches his peak.

Chelsea snapped the Brazilian up from Internacional in 2012 and will realise a substantial profit on the around £20m forked out to take him to England.

Shanghai SIPG are managed by former Chelsea boss Andre-Villas Boas.
