AC Milan are set to suffer disappointment in their desire to sign striker Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea.

The Rossoneri want to boost their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season and had zeroed in on Batshuayi, who is struggling for regular football at Stamford Bridge.

AC Milan probed the striker a few months ago, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, and his response then is still the same as now, with him being unwilling to leave Chelsea.

Batshuayi only joined the Blues in the summer transfer window from French giants Marseille and remains keen to make his mark at Stamford Bridge.

His path into the side is currently being blocked by Diego Costa, but Batshuayi will hope to be given the nod to feature for Chelsea on Boxing Day against Bournemouth as Costa is suspended.
