Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted his side work hard every day in order to be better than before and feels there is still a lot to be achieved.

The Bhoys ended the last year on a high after defeating Rangers 2-1 at Ibrox on New Year’s Eve and are an astonishing 19 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

They have now won their last seven games on the bounce and are yet to lose a match in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Rodgers, who arrived at Celtic Park in the beginning of the season, said that despite being undefeated in the Premiership in the current campaign, his team still grab every opportunity to get better.

“It’s just about being the best we can be”, Rodgers told the club website.

“That means every day, taking the opportunity every day to be better than before, to learn to develop and to keep pushing and working hard.

“We have already began our journey together but there is lots for us to do and to achieve and you only do that by working, so while it’s nice that the team is getting credit at the moment, it can very quickly change and you have to be wary of that”, added the 43-year-old.

Celtic are increasingly being tipped to go through the entire Premiership season unbeaten, while Rodgers' men are also eyeing a domestic treble after already winning the Scottish League Cup.
