Emerson Hyndman will have a medical with Rangers on Monday ahead of putting the finishing touches to a loan move to the Scottish giants from Premier League side Bournemouth.

Gers boss Mark Warburton is aiming to strengthen his squad in this month's transfer window as he looks for Rangers to enjoy a strong second half of the season after a first period filled with criticism of his tactics and summer dealings.




He has turned to Hyndman to bolster his options and according to STV, the 20-year-old will have a medical with Rangers on Monday.

The American joined Bournemouth from Fulham in the summer, but has struggled to catch Eddie Howe's eye.
 


The Dallas-born schemer will now bid to enjoy as much first team football as possible under Warburton at Ibrox, to then return south of the border a better player.

He started his career in the youth ranks at FC Dallas before being scooped up by Fulham.

Hyndman's contract with Fulham expired in the summer and he opted to head to Bournemouth, putting pen to paper on a four-year deal at Dean Court.

The midfielder has been capped twice by the senior United States team.
