Roma are preparing to launch a second offensive in order to sign West Ham winger Sofiane Feghouli during the January transfer window.

The Algerian joined the Hammers on a free transfer in the summer, but has struggled to establish himself as one of the regular names on Slaven Bilic’s teamsheets.

Roma officials were recently in London to conduct their transfer business and the Giallorossi held talks with West Ham for the signature of the winger on an initial loan deal with option of a permanent transfer.

West Ham knocked back Roma’s move for the player, but according to Italian daily Il Tempo, the Serie A giants are set to again try their luck in order to take the Algerian to the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma are confident that further probing would help them soften West Ham’s stance and they are again keen to offer the same kind of loan plus purchase option for Feghouli.

It has been suggested that the winger is keen to leave West Ham and to further sweeten the deal Roma are ready to offer him a hefty signing bonus if he joins the club in January.

The Algerian has made 16 appearances for the Hammers in all competitions this season and signed a three-year contract with the club in the summer.
