West Ham star Andy Carroll has stressed that following a disappointing start to the season, his side have started to find momentum of late.

The Hammers have lost their last two Premier League games and are also out of the FA Cup following a 5-0 defeat against Manchester City.

Before the three successive defeats, Slaven Bilic’s men managed to win three Premier League games on the trot and started to rise in the table.

Carroll, who returned from an injury last month, believes that despite the recent disappointing results, West Ham have started to find their form.

“The start of the season was difficult, compared to last season, but we started scoring goals before Christmas”, Carroll told the club website.

“Last season was a great season and even though this season didn’t start well, I think we’re starting to find it now and come around, although the last few results haven't gone our way”, added the 28-year-old.

Carroll has made 12 appearances for the Hammers this season in all competitions and has two goals and an assist to his name.

He will be aiming to add more goals to his tally by scoring in his side’s game against Sam Allardyce’s Crystal Palace on Saturday.

West Ham are currently placed 13th in the Premier League table and will be eyeing winning the game against the Eagles to get back to winning ways.
