Chris Wood has revealed that the Leeds United side don’t care what others feel about their style of play and performances this season.

The Kiwi was again on the scoresheet as Leeds dominated Derby County at Elland Road on Friday night to pick up three more points in their quest for Premier League promotion.

The Whites were not amongst the favourites to challenge for promotion at the start of the season, but Garry Monk and his men have surpassed all predictions thus far and are currently third in the league table.

There has also been a sense that Leeds’ resurgence this season has gone under the radar and they have not received enough credit for the way they turned their campaign around after a horrendous first month.

Wood admits that Monk and his coaching staff have done a tremendous job to get Leeds up to where they are at the moment and stressed that they are just concentrating on what they want to do, rather than worry about what others think about the team.

When asked is it time Leeds get credit for some of stuff they have been doing this season, the striker told BBC Radio Leeds: “Look, I mean the gaffer and the coaching staff have come in and have done a fantastic job getting us working where we are.

“I think we are playing well at the moment, we are ticking along nicely, the team know what it’s about, we know our jobs and our responsibilities and we do it down to a T.

“We don’t care if anybody else thinks it’s bad; it’s what we are doing and it works for us.”

Wood has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season for Leeds and have been their main threat up front.
