Southampton star Jose Fonte has been linked with a move to Liverpool after the defender handed over a transfer request, but the Reds are not interested in bringing him to Anfield.
According to the BBC, Jurgen Klopp has no interest in taking Fonte to Liverpool during the winter transfer window.
The 33-year-old Saints skipper recently handed over a transfer request to the club in order to explore his options.
He was linked with Manchester United in the summer, after he helped Portugal win the UEFA European Championship; however, no such deal took place.
Fonte is now being linked with a move to Anfield, but the Reds manager is not interested in adding another centre-back to his squad after bringing in Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip in the summer.

The Portugal international has made 19 appearances for Southampton this season in all competitions so far; he has been kept out of the squad for their last three games by manager Claude Puel.
It remains to be seen if Klopp will launch a bid for Fonte.
