Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted it will be difficult for his side to depart from White Hart Lane at the end of the current campaign.

Spurs have been unstoppable of late and have won their last seven games in all competitions as they pick up pace in the second half of the season.

They are yet to lose a match at home this season in the Premier League and also ended Chelsea’s winning streak at White Hart Lane early this month.

However, it is their last season at their 118-year-old ground until their new stadium is completed and they will play all their home games at England’s national stadium from the next campaign.

Pochettino, whose side won just one game at Wembley during their Champions League campaign, said Tottenham will miss the energy and the feel of their current home ground.

"This season we can feel in every game how our fans are excited to spend time at White Hart Lane”, Pochettino was quoted as saying by ITV.

"And you can imagine how tough it will be in a few months when White Hart Lane doesn't exist and we move to Wembley.

"It will be tough for our fans, for the people that love Tottenham.

"It's an energy, an extra that we feel, the players feel", added the 44-year-old.

Tottenham are currently placed second in the Premier League table and are seven points behind league leaders Chelsea.

They will be aiming to close the gap with the Blues by defeating Manchester City on Saturday.
