Tottenham Hotspur have used talks with Andrea Ranocchia's representatives to stress their interest in Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti.

Ranocchia's representatives are working on moving their client on from Inter after he fell out of favour and talks have been held with Spurs, who have promised to consider a move for the centre-back.

However, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Spurs used the meeting with Ranocchia's representatives to raise another of their clients, Pinamonti.

The 17-year-old is highly rated and has already made his senior debut for Inter, turning out in the Europa League earlier this season.

Pinamonti is due to turn 18 in May and Inter want to sign him to a five-year contract on the same day.

But the striker is wanted by Spurs, who believe he has huge potential which they wish to see realised at White Hart Lane.

It is also less than clear whether Pinamonti will receive the first team chances needed at the San Siro, with Inter looking to make key signings in attack.

However, the striker is an Inter fan and as such might be tough for Spurs to tempt to England.

Pinamonti is a current Italy Under-19 international.
