Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is interested in loaning out Gedion Zelalem to Dutch second division club VVV-Venlo this month, with the Dutch side expecting to know whether they can take the player within the next 24 hours, according to De Telegraaf.

The youngster, who spent the 2015/16 campaign on loan at Rangers, has thus far managed to clock up just 17 minutes over two appearances for Arsenal this season, with both of those coming in the EFL Cup.

However, Zelalem has made eight appearances for the Gunners’ reserve team this term, providing an assist.

And Wenger is keen to loan out the midfielder for the remainder of the season so that he can collect vital first team experience.

The Frenchman believes Zelalem may struggle for game time at a top Eredivisie club and hence is thinking about letting the teenager join VVV-Venlo.
