Fiorentina are prepared to offer a new and improved five-year contract to winger Federico Bernardeschi to secure his long term future at the club, amid interest from Chelsea.

The 23-year-old winger’s future has been subject to much conjecture over the last few months and there was talk that Chelsea were interested in signing him during the January window.




Antonio Conte’s team are still keen on taking the Italian to west London at the end of the season and even Inter Milan and Juventus are licking their lips ahead of the summer transfer window.

Fiorentina are aware of the interest in Bernardeschi and are ready to take the necessary steps in order to keep him at the club beyond the summer.
 


According to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, La Viola are prepared to offer him a five-year contract worth €2.5m per season in order to secure his long term future at the club.

Fiorentina are also ready to promise him the captain’s armband for next season in order to convince him to continue despite offers in England and from Serie A giants.

His current deal with Fiorentina expires in 2019 but the club are hoping to see him extend his contract with them in the coming days.

Bernardeschi has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in all competitions this season with Fiorentina.
