AC Milan sporting director Massimo Mirabelli is in Spain to continue to maintain contacts with the agent of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United and Chelsea this summer.

Mirabelli has been in Spain over the last few days to tie up the deal for Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio, who is expected to join the Serie A giants during the summer transfer window.

However, the AC Milan sporting director is also carrying out the next big dream of the club hierarchy and according to Sky Italia, he has been in contact with Morata’s agent during his stay in Spain.

Armed with new Chinese owners, the Rossoneri are looking to make a big splash in the market in the summer and signing the Real Madrid striker is one of their top priorities.

AC Milan are aware of the difficulties in their quest to sign the Spain international because of the projected cost of a deal but they are prepared to put in a sincere effort to take Morata to the San Siro.
