Manchester United and Liverpool linked Kasper Dolberg and Ajax are in talks over a new contract ahead of the transfer window.

There has been upheaval in recent hours around Dolberg after his father confirmed that they have parted ways with his agent Jens Steffensen, who maintains that they have an agreement until August 2018.

Regardless of the situation, Ajax are moving forward with their plans to keep hold of the player in the summer as they are reportedly unwilling to sell him at the moment.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the Dutch giants have initiated talks with Dolberg’s present entourage over a new and improved contract for the young Dane.

Ajax are prepared to offer him a new five-year contract with improved terms in line with the 19-year-old’s performances this season, where he is close to firing them to the Europa League final.

Clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, AC Milan and Napoli are keeping close tabs on the young star and are interested in snaring him away from the Amsterdam ArenA this summer.

However, Ajax are confident that Dolberg will sign a new deal and continue at the club for next season to aid his development further.
