Brendan Rodgers says that Manchester City are getting a winner back in winger Patrick Roberts, who is set to head back to the Citizens after an 18-month loan spell at Celtic.

The winger has made a big impression during his time at Celtic and has won two Scottish Premiership titles, one Scottish League Cup, and could add the Scottish Cup to his collection as the Bhoys are in the final.

Roberts recently snubbed the chance to play for England in the Under-20 World Cup in order to make himself available for the Scottish Cup final.

Rodgers thinks that Celtic have made Roberts into a winner, meaning Manchester City are getting someone back who is used to picking up trophies.

"He leaves here a winner when he goes back to Manchester City", Rodgers told a press conference.

It remains to be seen what plans Manchester City will have for Roberts when he arrives back at the Etihad Stadium.

Celtic could look to re-sign a man who has made 43 appearances in all competitions for the club this season, scoring nine goals and providing his team-mates with an impressive 17 assists.
