Italian Serie A side Torino have hinted there is a dispute over Pontus Jansson's impending switch to Leeds United.

Jansson has just finished a season-long loan at Leeds, but the Whites have a deal in place to sign him on a permanent basis during the summer transfer window.

The centre-back's loan was claimed to contain an option for Leeds to buy him permanently when he hit 22 appearances for the club, which he duly did as he formed a superb partnership with Kyle Bartley at the back.

But it has been reported that FIFA is now investigating the transfer and, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, while Torino are not commenting on the situation, they have implied there is a dispute by saying they are "not in a position to comment on an ongoing dispute".

It has been suggested there may have been a delay over Leeds paying the £3.5m needed to sign Jansson permanently, something which comes amidst the backdrop of Premier League interest in the Swede.
