Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has flown to England and is hoping to initiate contacts with Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Antonio Conte remains Inter’s top choice as their next manager, but there are suggestions that Chelsea and the Italian are closing in on an agreement over a new contract.

Tottenham boss Pochettino is another name on the Nerazzurri shortlist and it seems the club are ready to launch an assault to convince the Argentine to move to Italy.

According to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, Inter sporting director Ausilio is set to arrive in England soon and is hopeful of starting initial talks with the Spurs boss.

Pochettino is unlikely to change base after turning Tottenham into a regular Champions League club over the last two seasons, but Inter are still set to try their luck.
