Mauricio Pochettino admits it is now vital for his Tottenham Hotspur team to win a trophy, after they finished second in the Premier League with a final day 7-1 thrashing of relegated Hull City.

Spurs knew they would finish second before a ball was even kicked at the KCOM Stadium, but that did not mean Pochettino's side were about to ease up as they prepared to blow the Tigers away.

It took just eleven minutes before Spurs pulled ahead, when Harry Kane scored. He quickly had a brace to his name with a strike in the 13th minute, before Dele Alli made sure the visitors would head in 3-0 up at the break by hitting the back of the net in first half injury time.

Hull pulled one back in the 66th minute, but Victor Wanyama scored Spurs' fourth three minutes later, and Kane got their fifth in the 72nd minute.

Ben Davies grabbed a sixth in the 84th minute, while Toby Alderweireld capped off the scoring by getting his name on the scoresheet in the 87th minute.
