Former Inter Milan owner Massimo Moratti is not concerned that the club might not get Antonio Conte and feels it is more important that the players sign up to the new coach's vision.

The Serie A giants have been chasing the Chelsea manager for months and it seems they will fail in their pursuit as the Italian is expected to continue his journey in west London.

There have been claims that Inter will finally settle for Roma coach Luciano Spalletti and Moratti is not too down that the Nerazzurri might not be able to lure Conte to the San Siro.

He believes Spalletti is experienced enough to manage a club of Inter’s size and feels it is more important that the players follow the new man and work as a team next season.

Asked if he is sad that Conte won’t be joining Inter, Moratti told Premium Sport: “I have no specific preference.

“Spalletti is very good and has experience.

“The important thing is that the players much follow him and become a team.”

Conte, who will be looking to complete a double at Chelsea by winning the FA Cup on Saturday, is expected to sign a new contract with the west Londoners.
