Kolo Toure has revealed that he is yet to take a call on his Celtic future, but insisted that his time at Paradise has been amazing.

The defender was snapped up by Celtic on a one-year deal last summer as he reunited with manager Brendan Rodgers, under whom he previously played at Liverpool.

Toure has thus far managed to clock up 1,281 minutes over 20 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys, helping the club to win the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup.

And the ex-Ivory Coast international, whose present contract with Celtic is due to expire this summer, explained that he has really enjoyed his time in Scotland.

But the centre-back was quick to admit that it has not been decided yet if he will remain at Celtic beyond the end of the season.

“It has been fantastic”, Toure said on Celtic TV, when asked how his first season at Parkhead has been.

“The manager gave me a chance to come to this great club and for me it’s a privilege to play for Celtic.

“My time here has been amazing, the people are fantastic and the fans are great.

“I just want to enjoy the moment and then we will see what happens.

“But honestly my time here has been fantastic.”

Celtic managed to win the league title without a single loss, thereby making Toure part of an invincible squad for the second time in his career; the 36-year-old previously helped Arsenal to win the Premier League undefeated in the 2003/04 campaign.
