AC Milan have issued a threat to super agent Mino Raiola, insisting they will make Manchester United linked goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma sit in the stands next season if he doesn’t sign a new contract by the end of June.

The 18-year-old goalkeeper is one of the crown jewels of AC Milan and the club are keen to see him extend his contract, which currently will expire at the end of next season.

However, negotiations with super agent Raiola have dragged on and though a meeting is scheduled for next week, the Rossoneri have been left frustrated by Raiola’s stalling tactics.

Patience is running thin on the part of the AC Milan hierarchy regarding Donnarumma and according to Italian daily Corriere della Sera, the club have given an ultimatum to Raiola regarding the goalkeeper.

The Rossoneri have warned the Italian super agent that if his young client doesn’t sign a new contract by the end of June he will be forced to sit in the stands next season.

AC Milan are ready to lose the young goalkeeper on a free transfer at the end of next season, rather than allow him to leave in the summer for a fee they would consider to be lower than his value.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been keeping a close watch on proceedings and could make their move soon should the standoff between Raiola and AC Milan continue.
