Mino Raiola has insisted that he doesn’t want to go on the warpath with AC Milan regarding a new contract for Manchester United linked goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 18-year-old has a year left on his contract with the club and the Rossoneri have been trying for months to get him to sign a new deal, which would secure his future at AC Milan.

However, negotiations between Raiola and AC Milan have dragged and there have been suggestions that the Italian super agent has been deliberately stalling to listen to offers from clubs such as Manchester United and Manchester City.

AC Milan have reportedly told Raiola that they will make Donnarumma sit in the stands next season if his client doesn’t sign a new contract by the end of June and the goalkeeper’s agent has sought to calm down the tempers.

He insisted that he doesn’t want conflict with the Rossoneri and Donnarumma will make a decision during the summer after evaluating his options.

Raiola warned AC Milan that a free transfer is not a good business deal for either of the parties.

The super agent said on Radio Deejay: “No one ever said that Gigi doesn’t want to renew with Milan.”

Asked about the threat of making his client sit in the stands next season, he said: “I don’t think the Milan officials have said such a thing and I don’t want a war between me and Milan.

“After the international fixtures, Gigi will go on vacation and then we’ll see what happens.

"We are talking with Milan, evaluating things and we will have to assess other offers.

“A free transfer won’t help anyone.”

A goalkeeping prodigy, Donnarumma became a regular feature in AC Milan’s goal at 16 and has already played for the Italian senior side.
